Play is not defined by ability, it is something we were all born to do.Camp Play
Camp PLAY will engage children in the various styles of play and facilitate the development of social and emotional competencies such as empathy, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and other foundational learning skills.
Camp PLAY will create opportunities for children to explore FUN games, unique challenges, and hands-on, minds-on activities as they build fundamental movements skills and develop the foundations for healthy active living.
Children will be actively engaged in movement related activities and challenges as they develop physical literacy and move confidently, competently, creatively and strategically across a wide range of play-related physical activities.
Recess Architect
The Recess Architect program leads a school through a comprehensive process that will create, build and develop a quality recess culture tailored to your school.
Working alongside the staff and students, we provide comprehensive guidance to create a fulfilling, successful and sustainable recess culture for the school community.
The Recess Architect program is broken down into three Tool Boxes that work within the parameters of each school. We understand that no two schools are alike and recognize that each school has its own unique characteristics. We do not want to change the fabric of the school, we just want to help with some of the wrinkles.

Play & Learn Workshops
Rising Stars believes that children learn best through active engagement and play. With this in mind and at heart, we propose the use of active engagement as the foundation for and extension of foundational living, learning and academic skills.
These workshops are designed to teach, develop and promote foundational living and learning skills. Children will practice basic literacy, numeracy, and transferable skills, which are the building blocks for a life of learning.
Within the guise of playful learning, we will nurture further learning in numeracy, literacy and foundational skills for all grades.
Older Adult Play
The benefits of play do not stop when you mature. In fact, as we age, it’s more important than ever to keep that playful mindset. The benefits of play impact our:
Physical – Physical Literacy is a life-long journey. And we all know the saying: Use it or lose it!
Cognitive – Play not only brings you joy but it improves our brain functions. Whether it is solitary play or with a group, play supports our reaction time, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Social – Humans are social creatures and research tells us that when we are deprived of social connections, we are prone to depression, anxiety, and even increased mortality. We all need a sense of belonging and play is the answer.
Emotional – when our play involves others, we naturally create bonds of friendships.
ParaPlay
Play is not defined by ability, it is something we were all born to do. Stay Tuned! We are working on a creative series of program opportunities geared to children and youth with disabilities.
